Research has shown that within studies designed by the Public Health Administration, they tested the program on union railroad workers. Most of the participants were male and blue-collar workers. A key factor that led to their poor health was the food that was packed for the workers was done by their wives. It was decided that in a prevention program, it is just as important that the people closely associated with the participant are also involved in the process. This will allow for positive reinforcement and support amongst the participants. In our project, we especially plan to encourage that our participants include their family members in the process.
